EFT - Anxiety / Panic

I have spent a lot of time with people who have experienced severe panic attacks for many years and I know just how hard life is for them. Many have tried the standard methods available to them and found little relief. I continue to be moved by the courage they show in trying to get on with their lives while carrying the most debilitating fear inside them.
EFT can be very useful in treating anxiety and or panic attacks. In true EFT style some people have seen chronic anxiety disappear in minutes. Others have gained relief little by little either by persistently applying EFT themselves or working with a practitioner over longer periods of time. Some can apply EFT to what is making them anxious right now and get relief, others don’t and have to work on their “baggage” from the past before it happens.
EFT can be applied to panic attacks as they begin and, done correctly, relief can be gained quickly. Panic attacks often are seen to have started with a “trigger” event in their lives but the seeds for them to occur may have been sown some time (even years) earlier. A state of hyper-vigilance is what is responsible for the heightened anxiety which makes panic attacks much more likely.
Panic attacks are becoming ever more prevalent in society. The majority of people will have at least one attack in their life time. Some however go on to have more and maybe develop panic disorder. It seems that certain types of personality are more likely suffer regular panic attacks than others.
Deeper emotional issues may well be involved. EFT will go to the cause of the anxiety and dissolve the negative effects from memories and events contributing to the anxiety.
Some say that there are no traumas that seem connected to their problem. However, beliefs about themselves may have led to persistent negative thinking, low self-worth and lack of confidence. This continuous “inside job” of self-sabotage and running ourselves down undermines us and can lead to anxiety as we no longer trust ourselves to things “right” or “properly” while often having a need to do things perfectly.
These beliefs may have been caused by events and people in the past and again, if EFT is applied thoroughly, these effects can be neutralised and a healthier outlook on life and ourselves grows naturally from the freedom gained.
