While using EFT for the relief of pain, I have seen the proof that belief isn't necessary for EFT to work. I have at times used EFT on acquaintances (with their permission) when they have been experiencing physical pain. They have had no idea what to expect and thus had no belief system to try and connect with first. They had no expectation of success, indeed some had done it to humour me I’m sure!
I performed the EFT procedure on them and either got relief immediately or had to ask just a few questions while tapping before the pain collapsed. This is not just a minor pain I am talking about. Some of this had been pain that has lasted for weeks, months or even years in some cases. Pain that has been increasingly drug resistant or simply not responded to conventional medicine. The recipients of this are usually amazed or shocked and will look for the pain and even try to induce it to get it back because what I did shouldn't have worked!
Often the pain never returns but sometimes it does. When the pain returns, it can mean any one of a few things.
Possibly a new aspect of the emotional contributors to the pain may have emerged or not been dealt with when the tapping was done.
Sometimes a bigger issue can come to the surface once the initial “problem” was dissolved with the application of EFT.
Maybe there are current and continuing emotional contributors to the pain in your life.
Maybe because of a medical condition you need to use EFT to manage the pain. Several hours of relief may be obtained from a round or two of tapping and without the destructive effects of strong painkillers.
Whatever the reason, it simply means that there’s more to do – keep on tapping!
